About this watch
Seiko 5 Automatic Salmon Arabic, reference 6309-8500, made in 1970s–80s. Salmon sunburst dial with Eastern Arabic numerals, day-date window with English day wheel. Comes on a stainless steel bracelet (original Seiko). Restored watch: the Seiko case and automatic movement are genuine, and the dial is a refurbished replacement. For everyday wear this makes no difference; it only matters to collectors. Condition grade B – Very good: light, honest wear for its age.
What "Restored" means
Many vintage Seikos lost their original dials to humidity over the decades, so replacement dials were fitted. For everyday wear it makes no difference at all: the case and the automatic movement, the parts that keep time, are genuine Seiko.
