About this watch
Seiko 5 Automatic Square Salmon Arabic, reference 7S26-0080, made in Jan 1999 (from serial). Salmon sunburst dial with Eastern Arabic numerals, day-date window with English day wheel, in a square steel case. Comes on a stainless steel bracelet, signed SEIKO clasp (original Seiko). Restored watch: the Seiko case and automatic movement are genuine, and the dial is a refurbished replacement. For everyday wear this makes no difference; it only matters to collectors. Condition grade A – Excellent: minimal wear, runs well within factory spec.
What "Restored" means
Many vintage Seikos lost their original dials to humidity over the decades, so replacement dials were fitted. For everyday wear it makes no difference at all: the case and the automatic movement, the parts that keep time, are genuine Seiko.
